All the fun things!

What an amazing week for our kids and teachers at Arbor!! We wound down November but are getting ready for the holiday season! All classrooms have started working on Holiday's Around the World theme with new materials in the classrooms, fun and festive artwork, we hung some Christmas lights and our brand new Christmas tree arrives on Tuesday! We are all looking forward to making special ornaments for our Arbor Christmas tree!

If you have not heard we are hosting a Merry Thanksgiving on 12/7/18 at 4pm. This is a themed pot luck in which all staff, kids and parents can participate in. We have asked parents to make or bring a traditional holiday dish of their choice! Our school is filled with so many different nationalities- we think this is a fantastic way to share traditions all while making our own Arbor Traditions. During the feast we will have three special arts and crafts activities going where children can make a special ornament for our Arbor tree or take home to put on their own tree! Parents are more than welcome to bring other family members or friends of the family as well! Remember parking will be a little chaotic. You are more than welcome to park in the grass to the right of the entrance of the driveway.

We have also prepared a Christmas wish list for parents or family members at Arbor. These items go directly to existing and new classrooms! We are also on the hunt for air purifiers that sanitize the air and an electrical stove/oven range for our new kitchen. Neither of these items need to be new! If anyone is remodeling and in the market for a new stove and would like to donate their old stove/oven range we will be more than happy to take it off of your hands!

We are still offering Treehouse Yoga, dance class with Miss Anne and Happy Feet! If you would like to sign up for the yoga (which is so much fun btw!!) please visit this website to register:

Just a reminder that Parents Night Out for December is 12/8 from 4-8pm. Wear your PJs, come hungry for pizza and the movie of the night is The Grinch! If this one is successful enough we may hold another one the week before Christmas to allow parents to finish up some Christmas shopping! All community children are welcome, not just Arbor Families! Please spread the word and RSVP on our website under the "programs" tab.

We have chosen our charity of the season! David's Drive was Miss BJs charity choice. Miss BJ's family has been helping and organizing this charity for many years! Davids Drive benefits disabled veterans in need of every day items: toothpaste and tooth brushes, body wash, soap, hats, gloves, sweatshirts, socks, deoderant, candy, magazines, books, boxers or underwear, combs etc. We ask that the sanitary items be travel size and please no mouthwash. All items are to be dropped off by 12/10. All of these items are collected and then made into care packages and distributed between 12/14-12/20.

Please enjoy some pictures of our happy Arbor kids this week!! Watch the blog next week for all of our Christmas decorating and pictures from our Merry Thanksgiving Feast! The staff may just have a little surprise as well... can you guess what we will be dressing up as??!!
